Elizabeth Vosseller
has been a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist for the past fourteen
years. She earned her Bachelor’s (1993) and Master’s degrees (1995) in
Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Maryland. She has
completed doctoral study in Early Childhood Special Education and will be
awarded as an Education Specialist Degree (EDS) in Summer 2009.
Elizabeth worked at
Children’s National Medical Center for several years. There, she
participated on several multi-disciplinary teams including the
Neurobiological Autism team, the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Syndromes
Clinic and the Velo-Cardio-Facial Syndrome Clinic. She was responsible for
the evaluation and treatment of a wide variety of pediatric speech and
language disorders.
For the past nine
years, Elizabeth worked in both private practice and academia. As a
Professor and Clinical Supervisor at The George Washington University, she
taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in both the
Speech-Language and Education Departments . Courses have included
Communication Disorder, Early Intervention, Autism, Cleft Palate, and
Reading Instruction. While teaching, she continued to provide evaluation
and treatment for private clients. She is certified by the American
Speech-Language and Hearing Association and holds Virginia state licensure.
Elizabeth is a
Northern Virginia native. She resides in Herndon, Virginia and is the proud
mother of a college-aged son who has never stopped talking |

Jeanne
received her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
and her graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Both degrees were
granted from James Madison University, making her one proud Duke Dog! She
completed her clinical fellowship with Children’s National Medical Center
and has practiced in private settings, public schools, emotionally disabled
school settings, pediatric traumatic brain injury outpatient programs and
inpatient hospital units. She embraces the commitment that Growing Kids
Therapy Center has to provide a wide variety of diagnostic and therapeutic
services to the community as well as develop programs to educate families
and other health care providers.

| Jay Coleman, M.A., Ed.,
H.D.
Special Educator

Jay Coleman, M.A. Ed., H.D. has been in the service of children for over 11
years. With experience teaching in public, private and charter schools, he
has concentrated his expertise in the field of special education. As a
professional artist and father, his sensitivity to the human spirit has
enabled him to inspire parents and students alike.
After attending Morehouse College 90’-94’ he returned to D.C. to further his
studies at the Corcoran School of Art, 99’. Under the direction of his
mentor Lois Mailou Jones (painter) he began graduate studies at Howard
University. Recently Jay has completed his master’s degree in Special
Education for children with emotional and behavioral disorders. He is
trailblazing by seeking new and innovative methods for engaging and
educating the exceptional child. As a portrait painter, he has been
commissioned by presidents of colleges (Howard University) and countries
(Angola, Cape Verde). His portrait of Rosa Parks hung at her memorial
service and his murals bring color to many DC schools and communities.
Co-founder of Slickfish LLC, Coleman has developed activities and curricula
utilizing salt water fish tanks to educate and inspire children.
