What our clients say about us...

“Elizabeth Vosseller provided the most cogent description of my son’s speech disorder. She presented and explained issues like joint-attention, and communicative intent with clarity. She clearly grasps – in fact she teaches – the technical and scientific bases of therapeutic interventions. Her clinical skills are razor-sharp. She also is a delightful therapist – engaging, yet demanding. My son had virtually no expressive capacity when he became Elizabeth’s client. His capacity to communicate is markedly higher now: he is able to create sentences, and has gained tremendous confidence in interacting with others. Elizabeth developed a program specific to my son that is truly eclectic, and based upon recognized approaches for improving outcomes for children with communication disorders. She is the best.” Bertra M.
“Our daughter Emma has worked with Elizabeth for the last five years and we have been thrilled with her progress! At seven, Emma was nonverbal and autistic, and not necessarily an easy client. Elizabeth was patient, innovative and systematic in her approach to Emma's speech program and the hard work (for both of them) has paid off! With Emma's emerging speech, sense of humor and improved behavior, we feel like we have really been fortunate to have Elizabeth in our lives!” Donna and Robert B.
“Our son was non-verbal and diagnosed with autism at two years of age. We knew we had to find a speech therapist who could help us reach him again. Elizabeth Vosseller came into our lives and offered us the first sign of hope. Her extensive career included identifying children in the spectrum, as well as treating them. We were grateful to have someone who could help us navigate these new waters. Within one year, an intensive program that included modified behavior training that Ms. Vosseller designed herself brought our son back. We had not expected him to be able to say, "love you" and yet he did. Our son continues to make amazing strides, thanks to the early work Ms. Vosseller instilled that enables him to attend to learn and use his "words". Needless to say, our lives changed for the better and we LOVE Ms. Vosseller!! She remains a valuable ally and friend and we will always be grateful for her dedication to all our "Growing Kids". “Our family first met Elizabeth in 1997 when we were recommended to try Children’s Hospital for speech therapy for my daughter Mackenzie. She was a very shy child whose speech was only understood about 30% of the time and then only if you were paying very close attention. Elizabeth immediately engaged Mackenzie’s interest. She was so busy having fun, she did not realize that her speech was making great improvements. After approximately 18 months of therapy Mackenzie graduated from kindergarten and speech therapy at the same time. When I see Mackenzie succeeding, I often think about how different her life would be if Elizabeth had not been such a strong element for change when she was young. Fast forward 11 years – Mackenzie’s younger sister needs help with her r’s. Who better to help than Elizabeth, but where could she possibly be after all this time! I tried Children’s – no luck. I got recommendations for other therapists, but really wanted Madison to have the same positive experience as Mackenzie. As a mom, I wanted to work with someone that I knew cared and had the ability to help my child succeed. I had tried to Google Elizabeth, but had no luck before. I tried one more time and found an email address at GW University. Elizabeth answered! Madison is now happily attending her speech appointments and making great strides with “r”. Our family is again be blessed by Elizabeth’s wonderful ablity to bring out the best in my children.” Terri B.
